Lifetime license or Microsoft 365?
- Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024 — pay once, the apps are yours for good on one computer. It receives security updates but not new features.
- Microsoft 365 (subscription) — yearly or monthly payment, always the latest version, on many devices, with OneDrive and Teams.
Office LTSC 2024 does not include Microsoft 365 cloud services — OneDrive storage, Teams and Copilot.
Support period
Microsoft provides security updates for Office LTSC 2024 until October 2029. After that Office keeps working; it simply no longer receives updates.

How you receive the license
- Once the payment is confirmed, the license key appears in your account: My profile → My licenses.
- You get an email that the license is ready.
- If you like, the "Send to email" button in "My licenses" sends the key to your own email.
- Companies can pay by invoice and receive a tax invoice.
Installation and activation
The LTSC edition is not installed from microsoft365.com/setup — it is installed with Microsoft's official Office Deployment Tool.
- If another Office version or a Microsoft 365 trial is installed, remove it first (Settings → Apps).
- Download the Office Deployment Tool from Microsoft's official website.
- Prepare a configuration file for Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024 (config.office.com) and install Office.
- Open Word or Excel → File → Account → "Change Product Key" and enter the 25-character key from "My licenses".
- Activation completes online automatically.
FAQ
Does it work on a Mac?
No. Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024 is for Windows only. For a Mac choose Office Home 2024 or Office Home and Business 2024.
Do I need a Microsoft account?
No. The license is activated with the key and is not linked to a personal Microsoft account.
Can a company use it?
Yes, the Professional Plus edition is made for organizations and allows commercial use. Companies can pay by invoice and receive a tax invoice.
Can I get a refund?
The right of withdrawal no longer applies once the digital key has been received (see the refund policy). Before ordering, make sure the computer meets the system requirements.
